  21. I tried one more thing, and it worked:  My desktop system (which
  22. has two on-board ser. ports) as I have it configured shares the same IRQ
  23. for ports 1 and 3 (ports 2 and 4 are internal modems, which have
  24. jumpers to set IRQ).  This is impossible to change because the ports are
  25. set up in the BIOS, and there's no setting to change IRQ.  My only
  26. option was to disable one of them (the one the mouse is on).
